ABOUT

Christine Osgood, LMFT

Working with couples during significant seasons or transitions in their life together.

I’ve been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Minnesota since 2004. Early in my work with couples, I noticed a recurring thought: “If they had known this earlier—this research, this framework, this way of understanding one another—perhaps their relationship would have unfolded differently.” That awareness quietly shaped the direction of my work.

Alongside my work with individuals and couples, I’ve spent over twenty years teaching psychology, lifespan development, spiritual formation, family life cycle, and well-being courses at the collegiate level. Learning—and then sharing what I’ve learned—has long felt like meaningful, vocational work. I’m deeply motivated by helping people understand themselves and one another with greater clarity, compassion, and intention, especially during seasons when relationships are being formed, stretched, or reshaped.

My work now centers on providing education for interested couples around relational neuroscience—how nervous systems, attachment patterns, and habits of thought and feeling shape life together over time. The courses and educational “date nights” I offer are intentionally educational rather than group therapy, creating accessible, low-pressure opportunities to learn how humans and relationships are formed. For many couples, learning together is an easier first step than therapy—and often a wise and strengthening one.

In my therapy practice, I work with couples navigating significant life transitions: premarital work and the joining of families of origin; parenting and the ongoing work of staying attuned to children while holding different styles; midlife seasons that invite reflection on identity, purpose, and spirituality; and, at times, the profound complexity of facing a midlife terminal diagnosis—supporting couples and families in meaning-making, connection, and legacy as life here nears its completion.

My own life is shaped by both psychological science and a faith-informed understanding of human formation. I welcome and respect the spiritual and philosophical frameworks clients bring, whether faith is central to their lives, quietly present, or something they are still discerning.

Whether through education or therapy, my hope is to walk alongside couples with steadiness and care—offering insight where it’s helpful, space where it’s needed, and support for relationships that can grow toward greater wisdom, love, and wholeness across every season of life.
